Jim & Cyndie
First, a little music.

Happy Anniversary- Love you guys so much!!

Happy Anniversary Cyndie and Jim!
Fifty years together is quite the accomplishment! We are so lucky to have met you and shared our families’ lives for so many years! From those magical Hong Kong days, to Deep River, Andrew’s visit to Peoria, we will always have Paris, running into Maggie on a street in Beacon Hill and visiting her new digs in Boston and being at their wedding, Maggie’s visit to Capitola and most recently Salt Lake City - the connection remains! Tonight Ed and I are in Boston where we last spent time with you Cyndie (sorry Jim) Time and distance will never dim the joy we feel knowing you are our friends! Happy Anniversary to two of the very best!

Dear Jim and Cyndie, You guys are such a model for all of us! I remember Jim in his red mustang with you, Cyndie, sitting at his side. You guys were in Pioneer high school and I thought you were so neat. Jim was the funny man--and he WAS so funny. Still is! I remember Jim so excited as he waited for the Revolver album to come out. Well, God bless you on your 50th. What an accomplishment. I keep you in my prayers.

Loving. Friendly. Giving. Genuine. Worldly. Caring.
Those are just a few words that come to mind when I think about Jim and Cyndie. Most of the time, I was terrified of my parents friends and dreaded the idea of having to tag along to their houses, but that was never the case with the Quist’s. While it helped that Andrew and I were good friends (the Quist’s house was my second home), I always felt welcomed, like I was one of their own. Needless to say, Jim and Cyndie made everyone feel like family. Even after our Hong Kong days came to end, our families continued to keep in touch (even if simply by phone) throughout celebration, hardship, and all that life has to offer.
To Mr. and Mrs. Quist, congratulations on fifty years together! On behalf of the Voegele clan, the kindness and love you both have always shown has not gone unnoticed.
Much love,
Ben Voegele

“Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken.” (Sonnet 116)
And you've proven it! Way to go!!!
